We formed in 2017 as a friendly group of likeminded people who want to continue the tradition and thrill of hunting, but through following an artificial line. We had become aware that nowadays, many people hunt to ride, rather than ride to hunt.

We are a member of the Master of Draghounds and Bloodhounds Association (MDBA). This governing body is tasked with making sure that their members follow strict hunting practices to adhere to the principles of draghunting.

What to Expect

We are lucky enough to be able to ride in some of the most stunning surroundings in the country and you are guaranteed to have lots of galloping and jumping at the front of the field. However, if you want a more leisurely pace, our committee will always have somebody at the back to keep you on track. Between each line, we have a good break to ensure everyone is back together before the next line.

Fundamentally, we want everyone to have a fantastic, safe day out at whatever pace they choose.

For most of our meets we are joined by fantastic equine photographer, Edward Liddell, who has kindly supplied most of the images on this site. Take a look at his work at ESL Photography.
